Davison comments "This painting was created using the same techniques that I always use, building up the painting in layers and finishing with a brown glaze. I wanted to get away from the brown a little this time and give the picture more of a ‘Technicolor’ look and so I put more colour into the background and shadow of “Because…” The yellow brick road and the Emerald City seemed like good places to take colour inspiration from".
